Swim Team
Our swimmers compete in the Prince-Mont Swim League in the B Division. Prince-Mont league typically has 6 teams who swim against each other in 5 dual meets. In July, the top swimmers from each team in each division meet in a Divisional Championship Meet with all 6 teams represented. Finally, on the last Saturday in July, the All-Star Meet will place the best swimmers from each Division against each other in one final meet.
Swimmers must be between 5 and 18 years of age. No competitive swimming experience necessary but child must be able to swim 25 meters unassisted.

- July 16th: PMSL Swim Meet #5 Strathmore AWAY
- July 23rd: PMSL B Divisionals HOME
Practice Schedule
AFTER SCHOOL PRACTICES: While Prince George's County schools are in session we will be holding after-school practices. These practices will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from June 6th to June 23rd. These are listed on the calendar on our team website. The practices will be:
- 5:30-6:30 pm (12 under and newer swimmers)
- 5:30-6:15 pm (Junior swim team)
- 6:30-7:30 pm (13 over and more advanced swimmers)
*Depending on the size of our practices and the ability of your swimmers, we may decide to move some kids into different practice times.
SUMMER MORNING PRACTICES: The summer morning practice schedule will begin Friday, June 24th. Beginning June 24th we will no longer be having afternoon practices.
Please be sure your swimmers are punctual and prepared (goggles, towel, cap, and water). New skills and training will be taught on a daily basis and it may be difficult for your swimmer to improve without consistent attendance.

8:00 am-9:00 am (12 under and newer swimmers)
9:00 am-10:10 am (13 over and more advanced swimmers)

Swim Team Fees and Obligations
- Belair Swim & Racquet Members: $65
- Non-BSR Club Members: $150
- Jr Swim Team, Belair Swim & Racquet Members: $60
- Jr Swim Team, Non-BSR Club Members: $145
- Service Hours: $25 (per family, refunded after working 3 swim meets
*There is a multi-swimmer discount for both BSR Members and Non-Members:
- $10 off for two athletes
- $30 off for three athletes
- $50 off for four athletes
- $70 off for five athletes
Each swim team family is asked to work at a minimum of 3 swim meets so we can share the load across all of our team. You will be able to sign up for a job for each of our dual meets. The job list will be posted in the "EVENTS" section for each meet. There will be more information on how meets work and the jobs that are available at our parent's meeting. Jr Swim Team parents will not be required to complete service hours, unless their swimmer moves up to the Swim Team. You will either have your $25 deposit returned at the end of the season or you can apply it towards the cost of the end of season Swim Banquet.
Swim Team Banquet
At the end of the swim season we typically gather our swim families together for an evening celebration of all of our swimmer's accomplishments. The banquet is usually held during the week after the last dual meet and before the Divisional Championships but only if we are able.

Taking care of 7 acres, a pool, two playgrounds and multiple courts is a lot of work. As our facility ages, costs increase. Please consider donating to help with the ongoing upkeep of BSR. No amount is too small.
